Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Job Cost Administrator, to be based in our Whitecourt Alberta location. This is a full time positon.

This position is responsible for performing routine office support duties in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general accounting.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Checks, verifies and posts journal vouchers, accounts payable vouchers, payroll and other accounting records.

  • Prepares accounting reports and analyzes accounting records.

  • Maintains financial data files.

  • Operates standard office machines such as adding machines, calculators and typewriters.

  • Work requires knowledge of specific accounting and clerical procedures.

  • Provide support on tasks related to producing accurate job setup, data entry of employee and equipment time.

  • Create and receive purchase orders.

  • Create and process Field Activity Confirmations (FAC) used in the billing process.

  • Assist Project management in client reporting.

  • Invoicing as per customer requirements.

  • May be in the field with timekeeping functions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Highschool Certificate + 2 Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/ or education.

  • Able to follows well defined procedures and directions.

  • Able to work well with others.

  • Great communication skills and detail-oriented.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, especially with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary training in accounting and /or experience in all aspects of the accounting function is an asset, i.e., accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, time and equipment

  • Knowledge in job costing and labour standards

  • Proficiency in JD Edwards or Oracle accounting system
