AECOM Hydraulics & Drainage Senior Assistant (hydrotechnical engineering) in Warsaw, Poland

Poland - Mazowieckie, Warsaw

Job Summary

Job Duties:

  • Working on international projects related to hydrotechnical engineering as part of the Global Delivery Services’ family

  • Daily work with team of engineers from AECOM’s Office in Colorado, USA

  • Working on small projects or portions of larger projects, with work being reviewed by senior or appropriately experienced engineer

  • Drafting CAD drawings in 2D and/or 3D

  • Preparation of drawings at each stage of the design process (Feasibility studies, Preliminary design, Approval Design, Detailed design)

  • Performing different kind of geotechnical analysis and calculations (as slope stability, foundations, settlement analysis, etc.) for hydraulic structures.

  • Support on geotechnical characterization activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with hydrotechnical projects (e.i. dams and/or reservoirs and/or spillways and/or embankments)

  • Collaboration with international and multicultural teams

  • Proficiency in one of the following CAD software: Civil3D or/and AutoCAD

  • Knowledge of English on communicative level,

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Very good understanding of the following topics: Soil Mechanics, slope stability,

  • Proficiency in one of the following software: GeoStudio and/or LPILE and/or PLAXIS will be considered faborably.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years in hydrotechnical projects,

  • Education: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or equal) from recognized University
