Job Summary

AECOM is a premier, fully integrated global engineering firm. We are seeking a Scheduler to join our team located in Victoria, BC. The responsibilities of the position include:

  • Business Acumen

  • Works with company planning and scheduling systems and processes

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of company cornerstone planning and scheduling systems necessary to manage and control the project schedule.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in Planning and Construction processes and workflow.

  • Experienced in planning, scheduling, forensic analysis, estimating, resources management, budgeting, forecasting, process management and value engineering.

  • Development and implementation of Planning key performance indicators and assessment methodology

Technical Skills

  • Able to use drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data

  • Assists in assembling data for trending and forecasting.

  • Prepares analysis of progress trends and impact to project completion date.

  • Has knowledge of earned value methodology.

  • Collects and analyzes data on manpower and labor hours.

  • Possesses the knowledge of scope control and change management.

  • Ability to create baseline, critical path and updated progress schedules, what if scenarios, and simulation schedules.

  • Understands concepts of WBS, OBS, RBS and enterprise scheduling

  • Understands Advanced Work Packaging and Workface planning principles.

  • Exposure to performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles

  • Supports the project reporting process as required.

  • Gathers data for procedure development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Entrants to this position require 8 years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction projects or operating industrial facilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.

  • Experience with planning systems (Primavera P6, MS Project, Ecosys, MS Excel)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to liaise at all levels with Client and team members.

  • Competent computer skills, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset

  • P. Eng is an asset

  • CCP, EVP, PSP certification an asset
