Job Description
AECOM is expanding its dynamic Civil Infrastructure business in Sydney and are looking for an enthusiastic Professional Water Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team.
Our services include network and treatment planning and design for water, wastewater and recycled water projects.
In your role as a Professional Water Engineer, your typical day will involve working closely with our clients to understand the design and / or services they are looking for, understand what they wish to achieve and work collaboratively with them throughout the process to achieve a high-quality result.
You will have world class people around you to achieve your results, including (but not limited to) our renowned structural engineering and ground engineering teams based in the same office and supported on a global scale.
We are looking for creative people to rise to the challenge of finding innovative solutions to problems foreseen and found during the design process. You will embrace new technologies available to you and look to build your experience of the industry both internally and externally.
There might be some local travel involved, visiting sites before design work commences to understand the surroundings and constraints at the start of a project. The great thing about AECOM is there will always be opportunities to not only work on projects local to you, but also interstate and globally… so ensure you put your hand up for those amazing experiences!
Qualifications
As a Professional Water Engineer, we understand you are at the start of your career journey so we are not looking to you to arrive with a wealth of experience. We are looking for enthusiastic learners and those who are passionate about building a career within Water Infrastructure.
Some of our would likes:
Completed your graduate programme and have ideally 2 + years relevant consultant experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a design environment
Design experience within Water, ie. Pipes and Pumps and all things Water Infrastructure
Knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices
Proficiency in AutoCAD, qGIS, Revizto
