Job Description

This role will support an integrated, value-based approach to human resources management, aligned to annual and long-term strategic business and HR initiatives in a large organization. She/he will be a strategic partner with the business, to nurture an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.

The incumbent will provide a range of HR services to the company and business units, with partnership with Centres of Excellence in HR, including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits, talent development and people services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of Human Resource Business Partners in providing HR insights and advice to the business on all people related issues and initiatives

  • Roll out HR strategies that are aligned with the company's overall business objectives

  • Develop and implement programs to ensure retention of key staff, and lower the employee turnover

  • Improve employee experience and engagement through different communication channels and throughout the employee lifecycle

  • Advise and support managers in employee performance management and development

  • Develop an effective talent pipeline that addresses the organization's succession plan

  • Ensure L&D activities are planned to meet current and future organization and employee needs.

  • Partner with Compensation and Benefits team to regularly review market competitiveness, benefit and reward structures, internal relativity and equity to ensure competitiveness

  • Review workflow processes to increase the efficiency within the HR teams

  • Review HR policies and procedures in line with current employment legislation and/or organizational changes to increase efficiency

  • Create and maintain a positive work environment by promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, diversity and positive employee experience

  • Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution

  • Lead and develop the HR team, providing guidance and support for their professional growth

  • Analyse HR key metrics, develop continuous employee feedback mechanisms and use data to develop HR interventions and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of HR experience

  • Proven experience in supporting business units with a true blend of strategic and hands-on operational responsibilities

  • A good team player, positive, people oriented and enjoys meeting and talking to people

  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the business and with good business acumen

  • Previous experience in leading a project from scratch and driving to completion

  • Confident with ambiguity and having an agile & flexible mindset

  • Independent and a quick-learner with strong sense of responsibility and initiative

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills

  • Demonstrated effective people and workload management skills

  • Ability to actively listen and resolve conflict, as well as support, encourage, motivate and grow team members

  • Strong understanding of Singapore's current employment laws & regulations (labour law, work visa relation regulations)
