Job Description

Aecom is looking for an MEP Supervisor

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of technical personnel and contractors involved in the installation, testing and maintenance of electromechanical equipment, in accordance with the inspection and testing plans established by the contractor.

  • Ensure that all installations are performed in accordance with technical specifications, safety standards and industry best practices.

  • Regularly inspect and evaluate electromechanical systems to ensure their efficient and safe operation.

  • Coordinate with other supervisors and project managers to ensure that electromechanical activities align with overall construction schedules and the needs of other teams.

  • Resolve technical and operational problems, providing effective and quick solutions to minimize downtime and guarantee Project continuity.

  • Responsible for the identification of equipment and/or systems with long delivery times, their impact on the construction program and with the other disciplines of the project.

  • Responsible for the coordination and logistics of the supply and installation of the different equipment of their discipline.

  • Responsible for monitoring compliance with the approved construction program and updating it if necessary.

  • Responsible for monitoring compliance with national regulations and, if they do not exist, adhering to applicable international standards.

  • Responsible for identifying the different change orders that may arise, whether in time and/or cost, documenting them and following up on them.

  • Responsible for the coordination and solution of interferences for the installation of pipeline banks and/or underground facilities required in the project.

  • Prepare and present technical and progress reports to project management, detailing the status of the electromechanical installations and any challenges or suggested improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations in the handling and disposal of materials and waste generated during electromechanical activities.

  • Ensure compliance with the quality of the work regarding the engineering and reception of the electromechanical systems, regarding the review of materials, tests, approvals, certificates.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields + 4 YEARS or demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education

Experience:

  • Data Center and industrial projects

  • Experience in Management of Mechanical, Hydrosanitary, Special, Air Conditioning and Fire Fighting facilities. Technical tests of the facilities, knowledge of local and international regulations on mechanical systems such as HVAC, Fire Protection, etc.

Preferences:

  • 6 years of experience in supervision of electromechanical installations.
