Job Summary

The Asset Advisory Services Group within AECOM is seeking an Asset Advisory Services Architect III candidate to support several large asset management and strategic planning projects for both public and private clients. We are looking for someone with an established career in architecture who wants to jump into shaping projects at the earliest planning stages. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable career defined by challenging technical roles and the ability to focus on details of a project while also never losing sight of the “bigger picture.” Our projects are large, complex and multidisciplinary and our goal for every project is provide our client with thorough data collection, analysis and strategic planning. Our Asset Advisory Services group is a growing team who works to give our clients more control over their real estate portfolios by acting as their trusted advisors on decisions around their properties. We develop reliable, accurate and credible condition data, and perform the analytical synthesis preparing the essential steps for making informed decisions on facility repair, improvement or replacement.

Our fully integrated office enables us to deliver global expertise and experience to our clients anywhere in the world.

We support all stages of the asset management process, from deficiency identification, to analysis and cost estimating, to sustainability and resiliency, to project prioritization, to capital planning and budget modeling.

We help our clients meet the challenges of dealing with their total cost of ownership

Responsibilities include:

  • Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.

  • Responsible for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.

  • Consistently delivers profit margins planned.

  • Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.

  • Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).

  • Manages more complex clients and projects.

  • Has decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.

  • Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.

  • Supervises and directs Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 8 year of required experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Written and verbal proficiency in English

  • An applied and detailed knowledge of building design, construction and codes

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

  • A self-directed professional with some experience managing clients, schedules and budgets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Asset Management (building assessment, O&M, building engineering, capital planning) a plus.

  • Facility Condition Assessment Experience

  • Construction administration experience preferred

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Access, Project
