AECOM has a requirement for an Assistant Civil Infrastructure Engineer or Technician to join an established and growing South West team that delivers creative solutions for a range of civil engineering infrastructure projects for industry, government and commercial sectors. The Plymouth and Exeter civil infrastructure team design, supervise and project manage high-profile schemes across the South West with a reputation for delivering to exceptional standards for our clients.
As an Assistant Engineer or Technician you will be tasked with assisting in the design of one or more elements of a project. You will be expected to have experience and ability in the production of designs in AutoCAD format for roads and/or drainage projects.
This role could suit either a junior technician wanting to make the next career move or an aspiring engineer at the early stages of their career, wanting to take on more responsibility and keen to show their capability to progress their development towards professional accreditation (IEng/CEng).
Previous experience in civil infrastructure, UK highway and drainage design for Consulting Engineer or a Local/Highway Authority
Knowledge of CDM regulations and duties
Experience and ability in at least one of the following AutoCAD, ACAD Civils 3D, or MOSS/MX
Knowledge of Technical Standards (DMRB / Sewers for adoption)
Experience and ability in MicroDrainage
Experience of multi-disciplinary projects
Working Knowledge of BIM / Common Data Environments
MEng / BEng / BSc / BTEC / HNC in Civil Engineering (Alternative qualifications may be considered where appropriate).
