AECOM Environmental Inspector I in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

AECOM is recruiting for an Environmental Inspector (EI) for project work in the Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio, and possibly throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, in support of natural gas pipeline construction projects.
The EI report to and will assist the Lead Environmental Inspector (LEI) for the spread to which they are assigned. EIs will include a mix of staff capable of providing inspection for stream crossing monitoring, wetland delineation, agricultural monitoring, restoration procedures, and other scientific disciplines. The Environmental Inspector will be a full-time position, separate from any other inspectors, with accountability for monitoring and report environmental compliance and inspection.
Entry level position
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to travel consistently with overnight stays at project locations. Position requires 100% travel within project geography.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to successfully complete initial and periodic screening requirements which may include drug, breathalyzer, urine and hair test.
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, moist, dry, and dust; position requires frequent keyboard/mouse operations; Often standing/walking; Occasionally operating vehicles, working in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, and lifting of less than 25 pounds; Rarely performing repetitive bending & stooping, working at heights, climbing stairs, using portable ladders, wearing fall protection, working in confined spaces, performing repetitive fine hand movements, and lifting of 25-50 pounds; Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment.
Must be able to work with several personality types on complex construction projects and have interpersonal skills necessary to manage staff, multi task, and inform contractors of non-compliance requiring action and resolution.
