Job Description

Through the application of industrial expertise, our Industrial Advisory team acts as both a standalone business and supports AECOM projects in the UK&I and also globally:-
Our manufacturing knowledge has translated automotive practices and thinking into the construction and transportation industries.
Our factory gained automation and control experience brings new perspectives to transport infrastructure projects such as the rail and aviation industries.
Our Industrial Manufacturing Engineers using their knowledge and experience along with Lean and Six Sigma tools have further unlocked new thinking to make efficiencies for our clients in Defence, Aviation, Global Retail, Automotive and Construction.
We are currently recruiting for a graduate reporting to a senior consultant willing to learn and develop Industrial process improvement techniques such as Production planning, material movements, process flow, Lean, and Six-sigma whilst supporting our offering.
Objective of the role:
To support delivery and development of a top performing industrial advisory capability within the Advisory Services Discipline of our Buildings & Places End Market, that wins and delivers high value consultancy projects across a broad range of industries integrating Process Optimisation thinking across all the work that we deliver.
Job Duties:
The team is a key part of the Advisory Services and as a member of the team you will:
Support delivery of value propositions being guided in the use of Lean and other process optimisation capabilities.
Support the development of innovative thought leadership that sets AECOM apart from its competitors.
Support the maintenance of networks throughout AECOM and its clients.
Collaborate with the team to develop exciting offerings that maximise the potential of the wider AECOM team.
Ensure you deliver projects and tasks professionally and execute to quality, cost and time.
Qualifications
You will have a BEng or higher in Mechancial or Manufacturing Engineering – 2:1 & above.
You will have a some understanding of Continuous Improvement methods/processes and the application of Lean principles and Six Sigma to projects across different industries.
You will be an approachable professional individual, demonstrating good communication skills.
You will be willing to work in a consulting capacity and develop business relationships.
You will demonstrate initiative when dealing with complex problems.
You will be able to listen, understand and relate requirements for tasks and services.
You will be flexible and willing to work away from the office to meet our client or business demands.
