AECOM has an opportunity for a highly qualified candidate as an

Engineer 6 to provide support for the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance – Demonstrator’s (BAMS-D) Tactical Auxiliary Ground Support (TAGS) in

Lexington Park, Maryland .

The Engineer 6 will support the navy Program Office PMA-266 on the MQ-8 Fire Scout program providing test engineering and technical support to the Mission Control System (MCS) Integrated Product Team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Provide software testing, test witness, and test procedure evaluation; test planning and resource planning; test status reporting (daily); requirements maintenance, analysis, tracing, adding new requirements based on new parent specifications; Contractor CDRL reviews for approval; Design Decision Document development; problem report documentation; and process improvement.

  2. Participate in program review teams and perform as part of a government/contractor team.

  3. Must be available and flexible to support test events, occasionally 50 days travel per year, as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science (may replace with equivalent work experience).

  • Ten (10) years of job-related experience demonstrating the ability to design, implement and execute manual and automated test procedures as well as the ability to use test tools to perform requirements verification, environment validation and system performance testing.

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of systems engineering and testing practices throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated strong problem solving, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a Software build test effort, developing testing strategies and detailed test procedures based on system requirements, as well as test execution.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

  • Must be available and flexible to support test events, occasionally 50 days travel per year, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with UAS ground control station testing, Minotaur, Tactical Control System (TCS), Common Control System (CCS), MQ-8 Fire Scout.

  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORS).
