Job Description

The Piping & Mechanical supervisor is committed to the site work supervision for process piping, equipments (static & rotating), and HVAC scope of the project.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze and control the execution drawings, specifications, welding books, material certificates according to local rules (DESP…)

  • Coordinate work permits according to the schedule

  • Perform regular inspections of contractors activities (prefabrication, welding, lifting, installation…) to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and permits

  • Oversee and manage the construction process for piping, equipments and HVAC scope

  • Liaise with the HSE Manager to support the application of the project HSE plan

  • Manage work interfaces (tie-ins between contractors and suppliers)

  • Liaise with the Logistics Manager for deliveries on site

  • Perform quality control on materials (piping, fittings, steel supports, packages, ducts…)

  • Liaise with the Schedule Manager to ensure that works are completed on time and/or to propose alternative sequence if needed

  • Manage and resolve conflicts with contractors and suppliers

  • Maintain accurate daily records of work progress and quality control measures

  • Participate to construction meetings

  • Lead the weekly coordination meeting with Contractors and issue the minutes of meeting

  • Manage the compilation of the PED (DESP) complete file with the 3rd Party

  • Endorse the position of superintendent my managing supervisors (1 to 3 depending on projects)

  • Report to the Construction Director by issuing the weekly & monthly written report

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years experience in supervision on piping and equipments

  • Fluent in French and English

  • Location: on site at Villers-Saint-Paul (60) - We offer accommodation allowances for secondments

  • Safety first mindset
