Job Summary

The Role

AECOM’s GIS Team in Brisbane has a fantastic opportunity for a highly driven Spatial Systems professional to support a varied range of projects across the region. As part of this role you will support and maintain the AECOM developed platforms, collection tools and data management procedures. In addition, you will support day-to-day GIS requirements including creation and maintenance of metadata, map production, GIS analysis, technical software user support and troubleshooting user errors.

Working for a global organisation, this role will allow you to work with industry specialists from a range of backgrounds. Your expertise in web-development and database skills (e.g. SQL Server) will enable you to mentor junior team members and see you contribute to the development of our team.

Working with teams across Queensland and the Northern Territory, this role may require travel to our regional offices during peak demand periods and to client site offices, when required.

Minimum Requirements

About You

  • 5-8 years’ relevant professional experience;

  • Demonstrated skills in managing work packages and small projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor degree in GIS of Spatial Science, or similar);

  • GISP Certification – advantageous;

  • Advanced knowledge of various GIS software packages including:

  • Esri GIS Software Suite

  • ArcPy

  • Javascript API’s
