Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water Resources Market Sector Leader for Western Canada for immediate employment in the Edmonton office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, communicate and own the deployment of the strategy to advance AECOM’s position in the Water Resources market sector as serviced by the Water team in western Canada.

  • Success will be measured in:

  • Achieving the market sector wins and booking targets for western Canada including the establishment of capture managers and capture plans on top/key pursuits while adhering to the allotted business development budget.

  • Effectively communicate the strategy and the deployment of the strategy to the involved team. Ensures that others involved in strategy are kept informed about developments and necessary plan details.

  • Identifying and being accountable for the effective capture management of the top pursuits and key pursuits in the Water Resources market sector in western Canada.

  • Establishing relationships and regular touch bases with key clients within the market sector.

  • Aiding Operation Management in the identification and solicitation of key hires within the market sector to capitalize on growth and deploy succession planning.

  • Responsible for the accuracy of the Salesforce pipeline information relating to the opporunities in the respective market sector. Monitors performance through utilizing reports to track sales growth, BD cost management and achieving wins/bookings targets.

  • Lead and represent the local market sector to the internal AECOM network including Canada’s Water Region Business Line Leader (RBLL), Director of Operations, Americas Water Business Line Market Sector Leaders for any internal AECOM business function and reporting needs.

  • Researches, interprets and reports client trends for the purpose of formulating strategy.

  • In coordination with Regional Water leadership, support in the client follow-up coming from client feedback surveys. Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients.

  • Lead or establish the coordination of the Western Canada team's participation in key conferences and sponsorship opportunities related to the respective market sector.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 12+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a consulting engineering environment
