Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for our office in Dallas, TX to support our Water Resources practice, primarily in the DFW Metro area but also nationwide. AECOM is one of the nation's leading water resources firms with opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients on water resources planning, engineering, and design projects.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, and civil infrastructure design. Responsibilities of the position will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling using various software programs

  • Provide assistance with Project Management and Budgeting tasks

  • Face to face interaction with clients

  • Mentoring and training junior level staff

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field)

  • 5+ years of relevant water resources related experience

  • Professional Engineer in Texas (or ability to become a PE within a year of hire or obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and/or civil engineering

  • Demonstrated proficiency in GIS and/or CADD

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience interfacing face-to-face with clients is preferred
