Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental, health and safety (EHS) Compliance Professional with a focus on support for the industrial/commercial/chemical business sectors for immediate hire in the Conshohocken (Greater Philadelphia Area), PA office The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an understanding of EHS compliance and auditing, relevant EHS permit package preparation, project management principles (including budget and finances, scheduling and proposal preparation), client interaction, report preparation, industry practices/standards, agency interaction, linear construction EHS practices, general OSHA safety standards, environmental and industrial hygiene field sampling, excellent client/peer communication skills and rapid response support.

The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for EHS compliance, reporting, permitting, safety compliance and environmental field sampling/monitoring in the Northeast Region with emphasis in Pennsylvania and with opportunities in Delaware and Southern New Jersey.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide environmental health and safety compliance and project management support services to private and public sector clients.

  • Perform implementation activities for environmental health, hazard communications, safety programs and environmental permitting/reporting for clients.

  • Provide project management support to for various private and public sector client projects.

  • Manage, organize and respond to internal and external safety and environmental needs in support of AECOM's projects/clients in transportation, power, construction, remediation, and field services.

  • Assist in preparation of environmental plans, permits and reporting in accordance with USEPA and State requirements.

  • This position requires the flexibility to serve as a cross-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of AECOM.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in environmental, health and safety compliance/permitting related to private (commercial, industrial, power, oil/gas, rail and manufacturing) and public sector clients

  • Familiar with USEPA Resource Recovery Conservation and Recovery Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, US DOT HM-181, PADEP Act 2, PA Residual Waste, Stormwater and Tank Systems

  • OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EHS compliance auditing experience strongly preferred
