Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Recruiter for our South Africa business region. This role will partner with our Hiring Managers and provide expertise as a business partner and trusted advisor.

The Senior Recruiter will be responsible for building & extending hiring manager relationships through excellence in recruitment process delivery including sourcing, screening, assessing, and presenting candidates for our business needs and opportunities within the AECOM region.

The role focuses on high touch candidate relationship management as well as customer focus and responsiveness in hiring activities. The Senior Recruiter will serve as the subject matter expert around our applicant tracking system, candidate sourcing methodologies and recruitment process effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

Deliver on the hiring goals of the organization by leading the hiring process for roles in South Africa and outside locations, as applicable

Create and execute multi-channel strategies to source candidates that meet our open requisition requirements and/or building talent pools for current and future engagements

Collaborate on developing effective talent attraction and hiring strategies, acting as a consultative Talent Partner.

Conduct interactions with hiring managers and business leaders in a timely, professional, and responsive manner, including intake calls and interview preparation calls.

Be a steward of our process in shepherding candidates through every stage, building excellent rapport and urgency into every touchpoint.

Interview scheduling and coordination with both our candidates and our hiring teams

Offer preparation/coordination and onboarding coordination, as applicable

Innovate and contribute to talent/employer branding initiatives

All other recruitment related responsibilities as needed by the region and global talent acquisition teams

Under limited supervision, responsible for the recruitment of prospective employees for open positions by interviewing and assessing candidate appropriateness for employment qualification.

Refers qualified candidates for non-exempt, paraprofessional, and professional level positions.

Advises and participates in planning, strategy development, and policy related to Talent Acquisition on a basic to moderate scale.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 10 or more years of client facing recruitment experience interacting with Hiring Managers throughout the recruitment process. Experience in lieu of an educational degree may be considered.

  • Able to develop and execute sourcing methodologies to include market mapping, recruitment strategies and Boolean searches

  • Comfortable with managing the whole recruitment process from role briefings to offer negotiation

  • Proven experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Ability to ensure a pipeline of suitable candidates is created.

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively with business leaders and in large group settings.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and executives.

  • Strong organizational and management skills, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong customer and results orientation with a dedication to continuous improvement

  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.

  • Be fluent in English with top communication skills.
