AECOM is recruiting a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Belfast office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced structural engineer with a proven track record in project delivery and assessment of existing structures.

The Belfast Structures team focuses on projects not only in Belfast but also across the world.

We specialize in healthcare, data centers, commercial, hospitality, education, and civic sectors for public and private clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a significant role in future construction projects across Belfast and worldwide.

Duties of the Principal Structural Engineer role include;

  • Effectively control commercial, managerial, and technical aspects of projects or parts for which you are responsible.

  • Sourcing opportunities and preparing fee proposals for submission to client, including resources and programme.

  • Leading a team of engineers and technicians designing building infrastructure schemes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures, and Structural principles.

  • Experience in undertaking structural engineering projects, performing analyses and calculations as appropriate.

  • Supervising work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget.

  • Ability to deliver design solutions and assessment calculations, lead teams, and successfully manage projects.

  • A solid track record of working on various structures projects, possibly as project leader on some, with experience in dealing directly with clients.

  • Knowledge and experience of the local Belfast marketplace would be desirable.
