The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Prepare basic deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates related to electrical engineering for buildings and facilities
Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects
Research and apply building code, regulatory and industry code requirements
Prepare electrical design calculations, utilizing electrical design software
Assist lead engineer in design tasks as required
Currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or other related field required
Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required
Electrical Engineering student who has either a power or “Architectural Design” background and/or course curriculum
Experience with REVIT CADD is preferred
Experience with power system analysis including SKM software is preferred
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
